EKSA received a nomination in the national competition

National Art School Panayot Pipkov, Pleven city, is founded in 1960, initially the school has been located in another building. During the period between 1963 and 1964 has been developed a project for additional building of the then technique and mechanic school building (three-floored construction, built in the 50th-s of 20th c), in order to make music school. There is a project for separated building on the same plot, which should be concert hall to the music school. The project is completed in 1968, this building stock has be buy pill en used until nowadays. Initially the school has been only musician, later it became many profiled, there are created sculpture, graphic and painting classes, as well as dancing classes. This fact imposed many functional amendments and adapting of some rooms in order to fulfill the new needs. At the current moment the students are more than 500, the classes are organized from 1st to 12th, there are 2 shifts. There are provided preschool groups. During the years some partial repairs and reconstructions have been made: the windows frames are almost completely changed; the sanitary rooms on the first and the second floors are renovated; there is provided invalid access, as well as specialized sanitary room on the first floor of the school building; there are dressing rooms, dancing hall, sculpture workshops, painting ateliers, etc. The renewal of the school is made in accordance to the project “Reconstruction and modernization for insurance and providing of accessible environment and conducting of energy effective actions in the repair of the National Art School Panayot Pipkov – Pleven”, financed by the operative program “Regional development 2007-2013”. Due to the realization of the project, the National Art School Panayot Pipkov gained European appearance. fiogf49gjkf05
