The monastery complex on the island "St. Anastasia" is located in the southeastern part of the Burgas Bay, approximately 6 km away from Burgas. History: With the declaration in State Gazette pc. 39 in 1973 the monastery complex "St. Anastasia" was given the status of a cultural monument of national importance. In November 2013, Burgas Municipality completed restoration and conservation of historical and cultural values ​​of the island under a project funded by OPRD. Having a dramatic ancient history, island St. Anastasia is now more important than ever. Here is the only island monastery in Bulgaria, named after the island - "St. Anastasia”. Monastery complex from the time of the Second Bulgarian Empire, located on an island and preserved to this day is rare not only in our country.
