In 2001 the "Ivan Vazov" museum in Sofia will celebrate 75 years since its founding. In commemoration of the great poet's birth on July 9, today it is re-opened after an extensive renovation.

UNESCO donated the resources for the restoration last year. The ambience of the unique listed building was preserved thanks to the Bulgarian donators as well. The employees of the construction company EKSA have worked for free when the finance didn't suffice…

The cabinet of the poet inside the museum on Ivan Vazov Street has preserved the authentic ambience in which he has created his last works.
